SF59 stuff always goes for an ungodly amount on ebay. So, this should be interesting to watch.
What is it that makes Starflyer fans so insane when it comes to dropping 100 dollars for a 7"?

sure we'd all love to own a copy of the drop. you know, to have those 3 ultra rare starflyer tracks that were never on cd... oh wait. yeah they were.
this isn't a dig on starflyer, either. i mean, i love starflyer more than most people (considering that most people have never heard of them).
but, yeah. there are some insane kids out there spending too much of their folks' money on starflyer auctions on ebay.
it's completists, the fact that they were a jump-off point for a lot of people into a good music, so there's a strong emotional connection there, and, understandably, the allure of hearing ANYTHING off of silver on vinyl. i mean, seriously, is there any way to listen to gold other than on LP???
btw from what i've read over the years, most of these people are in their mid 20's to mid 30's. the former are primarily fans of T&N's golden years and the latter are 77's, steve taylor, the choir, adam again, daniel amos, etc.
